Roger Dale Williams, 72, of Ladoga passed away on the evening of Sunday, Aug. 14, 2022, at home.

He was born Jan. 29, 1950, at Harlan, Kentucky, to the late John and Evelyn “Irene” Williams.

Roger proudly served our country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He returned home and worked as a painter and handyman for many years. In his spare time he enjoyed playing pool, fishing, artwork, being outdoors, horses, dogs, watching sports, music and dancing. He enjoyed having a good time with family and friends and lived life to the fullest.

He is survived by children, Robert (Susan) Williams, Randy Williams and Matthew (Angie) Williams; three grandchildren, Alivia, Marlin and Molly; siblings, Sue (Max) Woodall, Barbara (Jim) Carpenter, Bonnie (Greg) Wray, Kenny (Mary) Williams, Brenda (Barry) Lighty, David (Patty) Williams, Robert (Nikki) Williams, Gerald (Linda) Williams, Mark (Tammy) Williams, Joey (Becky) Williams, Kim (Nate) Rice and Janna (Travis) Davis; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Gale Gibson.

Graveside service with military honors will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 21 at Ladoga Cemetery. The family invites you to join them at the Lake Holiday Clubhouse for a celebration of life following the graveside service. Servies & Morgan Funeral Home has been entrusted with Roger’s funeral arrangements.

Memorials in Roger’s honor may be directed to the Wounded Warrior Project or the Byron Cox #72 Lodge.
