Ronald Lynn Bell, 70, of Crawfordsville passed away Friday, July 3, 2020, at home.

He was born Oct. 2, 1949, at Lafayette, to the late Lester Paul and Margaret Irene (Calder) Bell.

Ron graduated from Waynetown High School in 1967 and proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. On June 25, 1988, he married, Vickie Kay Mosier, who preceded him in death April 5, 2018.

Ron worked for 32 years as a material handler at RR Donnelley’s. Ron enjoyed fishing, camping, mushroom hunting, collecting guns and military memorabilia, loved watching old westerns, was very patriotic and loved his country.

He is survived by daughter Jessica (Tom) McClamroch of Crawfordsville; step-daughter Lora (Travis) Moore of Carmel; three sisters, Carolyn Sarjent of Lafayette, Connie (Rich) Cash of Brookston and Patti (Tim) Oldfather of Indianapolis; three grandchildren, Easton McClamroch, Kinley Clore and Jude McClamroch; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Vickie.

There will be a private family service Wednesday, July 8, which will be live-streamed and recorded, which can be viewed on Ronald’s obituary page at www.sandersfuneralcare.com. The service will be followed by a public graveside service at 2 p.m. at Waynetown Masonic Cemetery, with the Rev. Mike Whitacre officiating and military honors by the United States Air Force and Byron Cox Legion Post 72 Honor Guard.
