RT Insurance welcomes DeRegnaucourt

RT Insurance is proud to announce that Jeff DeRegnaucourt has joined the team as a licensed insurance specialist located in Michigan.

“We’re thrilled to add Jeff to our RT family,” said Tim Congleton, principal at RT Insurance. “He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in many specialized areas of insurance. He will be a valued resource to his clients.”

DeRegnaucourt’s expertise includes being a specialty insurance producer for the archery and firearms industries where he was responsibible for production and service of new and renewal business in the archery and firearms and shooting sports industries. In addition, DeRegnaucourt specializes in property, liability, worker’s compensation insurance, patent enforcement and infringement liability.

“I am looking forward to bringing my experience to RT Insurance and enhancing the impressive team,” stated DeRegnaucourt. “They have built a strong agency and I am excited to join the team and help them grow in the archery and firearms industries nationally.”

DeRegnaucourt started insuring the archery business in 1986 and has a lengthy list of impressive achievements including: developing the only archery products liability rating system in the USA.

DeRegnaucourt’s certifications include General Insurance by IIAA and Associate in Risk Management IIAA. He is a certified Level 3 Community Coach at West Michigan Archery

Center in Rockford, Michigan; he volunteers to run Adaptive Archery classes for patients of Mary Free Bed Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan; he assisted in installation of archery at the Kroc Centers in Chicago and Grand Rapids; he was 2022 Shooter of the year in the State Archers of Michigan, and in 2023, he competed in The Vegas Shoot in Las Vegas; he was Bowhunter for 54 years with recurve, compound and crossbow; is one of the founders of the The Treestand Manufacturers Association and assisted in the development of industry standards and testing program; serves as a TMA liaison to the Consumer Product Safety Commission; author of “A Practical Guide to Risk Management NSSF” and “Loss Prevention Techniques” for archery retail shops and 3D archery ranges; was the Conservation Educator of the Year recipient by MUCC ; chaired the 2006 TMA task force to evaluate 143 CPSC incident reports; in 2007, he became a Certified Treestand Safety Instructor and Bowhunter Education Instructor by the NBEF; in 2018, he became a certified instructor to teach Bowhunter Education in Michigan; he’s on the board of directors of Michigan Sportsmen Against Hunger and founded the Sportsmen Against Hunger Challenge which is a competition between three conservation clubs. As of 2020, more than 8,000,000 meals have been provided to the needy. In 2018, he was the volunteer of the year recipient from Meijer State Games of Michigan.

DeRegnaucourt enjoys hunting, archery, taxidermy and golf.
