Russellville Center plans Holiday Market Showcase

RUSSELLVILLE ­— Russellville Community Center will host the third annual Russellville Small Business Holiday Market Holiday Showcase from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

With more than 50 vendors lined up, visitors will have plenty of amazing items to browse through and help check off any holiday shopping list. From crochet and knit items, pet items, beaded accessories, earrings and permanent jewelry, candles and wax melts, essential oil products, custom laser engraving, handmade wood items, home interior decor, wreaths, ornaments, hair tinsel and face painting, freeze dried candies, homemade breads, fudge, cookies and other treats. 

Santa will be visiting for photos from noon to 2 p.m. with 4x6 prints available for $5 each. At the same time we will have a free children’s craft area open where children may stop in to make a gingerbread themed ornament to take home with them. 

Once again the Putnam County 4-H Llama and Alpaca Club will have animals available to interact with on the west side of the community center during the entire event. 

Breakfast and lunch will be served, and a donation box will be set on the stage in loving memory of DJ, Eric Hites.

Items on the breakfast menu will include: cinnamon rolls, biscuits and gravy, orange juice, milk and chocolate milk.

The menu for lunch includes: tenderloin, fish, sloppy Joe, coney, hot dog, nachos and cheese, loaded nachos, potato soup with crackers, ham and bean soup with cornbread, french fries and desserts. Drinks include Pepsi, Coke, Mt. Dew, Diet Pepsi, Diet Coke, Diet Mt. Dew, lemonade, iced tea and water.

All proceeds from the event go to help with the upkeep of the community center building  at 300 N. Harrison  St., Russellville, which was the former school.
