Salvation Army seeks volunteers for council

The Salvation Army of Montgomery County is seeking dedicated volunteers to become advisory council members. Council members work together to conduct the annual Red Kettle Campaign, as well as plan other activities throughout the year.

There will be an informational meeting at 7 p.m. Monday at New Hope Christian Church, 2746 S. US 231, Crawfordsville. People interested in learning more about becoming bell ringers are encouraged to attend.

Money raised by the Salvation Army of Montgomery County is used to assist those living in the county. Assistance is limited to $200 per person and includes help with utilities, food, medications, transportation, rent and other such needs.

This year-to-date, Salvation Army has helped 75 local individuals. Funds are currently available for those in need and can be requested by calling the Salvation Army through their New Hope Church office at 765-362-0098.
