Samuel “Sammy” Truncone, son of the late Nicholas Truncone and Rose D. (Cerino) Truncone, was born Nov. 17, 1940, at Bridgeport, Connecticut, and departed this life on Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2021. He attained the age of 80 years, one month and 19 days.

On May 30, 1963, Sam married Rose M. Cicero and were happily married for over 57 years.

His band recorded songs and had an opportunity to play full time yet turned the position down to raise his three sons with his wife Rose in Milford, Connecticut.

Sam had resided in Crawfordsville, Indiana since 1984. Sam and Rose moved to Crawfordsville when he accepted a promotion and transfer to be an engineer in the Tech Center that Raybestos built in Crawfordsville.

Sam enjoyed golfing, fishing and hunting. He enjoyed Italian cuisine and spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. He loved comedies and musicals and enjoyed playing music and singing songs with his children and grandchildren. He had an incredible sense of humor and a contagious laugh.
