Sandra J. Lowe, 52, passed away peacefully Monday, Aug. 23, 2021, at home in Crawfordsville, after a short battle with cancer.
She was born April 14, 1969, in Boone County, a daughter of the late Fred G. and Helen Lee (Byroad) Chaney. She is preceded in death by her parents and sister Lisa Linton.
She graduated from Western Boone High School in 1988. Following high school she attended Ivy Tech.
During her time living in Indiana, she was employed at Ben Hur for several years as a QMA.
She was kind, soft-spoken, blessed to have a large family and loved celebrating holidays and family functions together. In her free time, Sandy enjoyed puzzle books, time with family, and gardening. She also enjoyed her dog Sadie
Survivors include her children, Shawn Lowe of Crawfordsville and Kelsey Lowe of Veedersburg; and two grandchildren and one arriving in November. She has three (surviving) sisters, Brenda Wright of Lebanon, Jerri (David) Sills of Crawfordsville and Kimberly Matney of Crawfordsville; and a brother, Kevin (Melissa) Chaney of Crawfordsville, along with several nieces and nephews.
Cremation is being provided by Hunt & Sons Funeral Home. The family are planning a celebration of life at a later date.
Memorials may be given in her memory to the Montgomery County Animal Welfare League.
