School administrators to discuss mental health and youth

Posted

School will soon be out for the summer. In Montgomery County, parents have enjoyed their students having in-person instruction this school year. Now that students will be spending more time at home, how can parents gauge the mental health of their children?

On Wednesday, two North Montgomery School Corp. staff members will participate in an interview with Forcht Broadcasting’s Codey Emerson as part of the month-long series sponsored by Volunteers for Mental Health in Montgomery County. At 3:30 p.m. on WIMC 103.9, director of student services Brooke VanScoyoc and school nurse Donna Swank will explain some of the indicators of mental health issues that parents may detect, as well as possible sources of help as everyone sails into summer.
