Ryan VanScoyoc

Ryan VanScoyoc is a lifelong Montgomery County resident, having been born and raised here. His daughter, Skylar Harper, graduated from and now teaches at North Montgomery High School.

VanScoyoc has been in the automotive business for 30 years, having started at age 18. He is now president and owner of Resurrection Automotive Inc. serving Montgomery County and the surrounding areas with a motto of loves others, serve others.

“Jesus Christ is my king,” VanScoyoc said.

Resurrection Automotive is famous for Max the Dealer Dog, a rescued Bernedoodle that is their mascot.

For fun, VanScoyoc likes to hike, kayak and take Max the Dealer Dog on adventures with him. He also loves to travel and buy cars for our community. He likes to sing along to many worship songs.

VanScoyoc was surprised and humbled when asked to be a Star. He decided to participate in the fundraiser to help support the community and raise as much money for our youth as possible.

He believes the public should support him and his partner, Heidi Gambrel, because, “Heidi and I have been lifelong members of the community and supporting us would show how important our community is to us.”

Heidi Gambrel

Heidi Gambrel is a dental assistant at Mishler Dental. She is also a choreographer for Crawfordsville Dance Teams. She has lived in Montgomery County for 40 years. Heidi is married to Todd Gambrel and they have two sons, Thatcher and Rowan. Their family also includes their dog Mackey.

Gambrel’s dance background consists of 21 years of coaching the Crawfordsville Middle School Dance Team and two years coaching the Crawfordsville High School Dance Team. She has also four years of ballroom dancing. Gambrel likes all kinds of music and loves to dance to anything that has a good beat.

She is returning to Dancing with the Montgomery County Stars as a pro after taking some years off. She decided to come back because the group of volunteers and dancers are wonderful people and she loves getting to know them. She also loves what the Youth Service Bureau does for the youth in the community and helping to support programs for the youth in Montgomery County. In addition, she enjoys giving back to the community she grew up in.

Gambrel believes people should come support VanScoyoc and her because, “Dancing with the Montgomery County Stars is a fantastic night out full of entertainment, good food and drinks, and most importantly, raising money for YSB programs for youth in our county. We love all the support!”
