Sharon Kay Perry, 79, of New Ross passed away peacefully at home, Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2020, surrounded by family and her trustee sidekick Rox, her ever faithful little companion.

Sharon was born Sept. 6, 1940, at Lebanon, to Wesley and Virginia (Harris) Dewey. She married Lloyd Perry of New Ross on Sept. 13, 1958. They were married just shy of their 62nd anniversary.

Sharon was a lifelong member of the New Ross Christian Church. She enjoyed arts and crafts, and attending country and gospel music shows at 341 Café in Wallace. She always enjoyed her many friends she made there. She was an EMT for the New Ross Volunteer Fire Department and spent many years supporting the community by baking and volunteering her time for various events. She enjoyed her travels with husband, Lloyd, as they shared many years traveling with family and friends. There were only three states that they missed in their years of travels. She had a special place in her heart for tea pots and acquired quite a collection.

Survivors include: her husband, Lloyd Perry and children, Mark (Beverly) Perry of New Ross, Marty Perry of Crawfordsville and Michelle (Darrell) Kelsey of Bloomington. She is also survived by six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Her presence and sense of humor will be missed by all.

Services will be held at Porter & St. Pierre Funeral Home in Jamestown. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, 2020 with funeral services at 2 p.m. She will be laid to rest at Pisgah Cemetery following the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be offered to the New Ross Christian Church in Sharon’s memory.
