Sharon Sue (Eakle) Sparks, 80, of Crawfordsville passed away Saturday, Sept. 3, 2022, at The Lane House in Crawfordsville.
She was born May 16, 1942, at Crawfordsville, to the late Frank James and Elma Imogene (Demoret) Eakle.
Sharon graduated from Crawfordville High School in 1960 and in 1961 she married Layton Sparks, who preceded her in death Jan. 15, 2022.
She was a member of Harvest Fellowship Church. She was very crafty and enjoyed painting with watercolor and acrylic paints, worked in a craft store, seemed to accumulate lots of stuff and loved her family dearly.
She is survived by two sons, Brian Lee (Penny Lea) Sparks and Gregg Allen Sparks; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Layton; brother Ronne Eakle; and aunt Nancy Day.
Cremation was chosen with a memorial service at Harvest Fellowship Church, 1618 W. C.R. 500S, Crawfordsville, on Saturday, Sept. 17 from 2 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 4 p.m. Pastor JD Bowman will officiate. The service will be recorded and can be viewed on her obituary page at www.sandersfuneralcare.com. Burial of cremains will be at a later date at Kingman Fraternal Cemetery.
