Sherry Steege Walsh passed away Saturday, Jan. 2, 2021, at home.

Born Oct. 2, 1940, at Denver, Colorado, she was the daughter of Louis C. Steege and Berenice Merrick Steege. She married Dean A. Talbott. She then married James A. Walsh on May 22, 1976, at Danville, Illinois.

She graduated from Cheyenne High School, class of 1958. She was a member of New Hope Christian Church, Crawfordsville, since 2010. Sherry enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She very much enjoyed her church family as well. Her hobbies included volunteering at the food pantry, gardening, flowers, reading, master gardening and quilting most of all.

Survivors include: sister Janice Bergrstrom, Lander, Wyoming; two step-sisters, Bonnie McAfee, Coleville, Wyoming, and Debbie Richardson, Cheyenne, Wyoming; four daughters, Barbara J. Calvin, Robersdale, Alabama, Brenda K. Stumph, Crawfordsville, Linda Crandell, Grand Junction, Colorado, and Loretta Talbott, Monterey, California; 12 grandchildren, Cody A. Crandall, Grand Junction, Colorado, William J. (Vanessa) Stumph III, Crawfordsville, Robert A. (Cassie) Stumph, Jamestown, Heather (Joe) Read, Beverton, Oregon, Kyle (Callie) Talbott, Rock Springs, Wyoming, Angela E. (Louis) Williams, Indianola, Illinois, Tabbitha L. Stanton, Grand Junction, Colorado, Randy D. Stanton, California, Dustin D. Williams, Idaho Falls, Idaho, Amanda Calvin (Jose), Danville, Illinois, Katherine (Brian) Johnson,  Danville, Illinois, and Michael Calvin, Baltimore, Maryland; 10 great-grandchildren, Elliot, MacKenzie, Jackson, Jimmy, Gabriel, Brylee, Noah, Claire, Cambree and Roman.

She was preceded in death by two sons, David E. Walsh and Martin D. Talbott; father Louis C. Steege; mother Berenice Merrick Steege; step-mother Lulu Henning Steege; husband Jim A. Walsh; and husband Dean A. Talbott.

The family will hold a service at New Hope Christian Church. Arrangements were entrusted to Burkhart Funeral Home.
