Posted

Get ready for a delightfully macabre musical comedy as The Addams Family Musical takes center stage Friday through Sunday in the Connie L. Meek Auditorium.

Performances will be at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday.

This beloved show, based on the iconic characters created by Charles Addams, promises an evening filled with laughter, catchy songs, and a touch of the supernatural.

Audiences will follow the story of Wednesday Addams (Hannah Barnes), the ultimate princess of darkness, who has fallen in love with Lucas Beineke (Jack Sweet), a sweet, smart young man from a “normal” family. When she invites him and his parents Mal (Tryston Sauer) and Alice (Paige Johnson) over for dinner, chaos ensues as the two very different families collide in a hilarious and heartwarming tale of love, acceptance, and the importance of embracing our uniqueness.

Featuring a talented cast and an impressive production team, this show brings to life all your favorite characters, including Gomez (Hutton Haas), Morticia (Gianna Kochert), Uncle Fester (Collin Simpson), Pugsley (Shylah Hall), Grandma (Zoe Abbott), and Lurch (Nicholas Kvachkoff), along with a ghostly ensemble of Addams ancestors (Xcaret Aguilar, Chloee Bean, Liz Ellingwood, Addison James, Aailyah Keys, Jaimee Simpson, Marleigh Sinnet, Ian Stewart, Hope Taylor, and Adyson Tinsley) and spirits (Addy Rice and Keira Toomey). The production team includes Renae Tebbe (lights), Emily Daley and Emily Race (Stage Managers) as well as Alilyona Coffman, Sebastian Kochert, Katherine Novak, and Peyton Suiter (Spot Tech).

Directed and choreographed by Lisa Warren, with vocal direction by Jennie Swick, this production is sure to be a hit for theatergoers of all ages.
