Sixth-ranked South Putnam scored early and often Friday in the IHSAA Football Class A Sectional #45 game, defeating Fountain Central 54-7.
The Eagles racked up 26 points in the first quarter and added another 14 points in the second quarter and lead the Mustangs 40-0 at the half.
South Putnam then added 7 points in third quarter and another 7 points in the fourth quarter.
Fountain Central was able to avoid a shutout and got on the scoreboard late in the fourth quarter with an Eli Foxworthy run and a Conner Paxton kick.
Fountain Central ends the season 4-6 and 4-3 in the Wabash River Conference (fourth place).
South Putnam will travel to Covington next week for the semifinal game against the Trojans.
