April showers bring May flowers — and so does the Master Gardeners spring plant sale, which will take place from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 7 at the Montgomery County fairgrounds. The sale is open to the public and will be set up under cover of the poultry/rabbit shelter.

A variety of flowering hanging baskets, tomato and pepper plants, annuals and herbs will be available for sale. Nucor officials also will be on hand for the annual tree give-away.

The 4-H exhibit hall will be set up with demonstration booths, a children’s activity corner and a plant exchange table (bring one/take one). There will be door prizes/drawings as well as the Master Gardeners will be on hand to help visitors with gardening questions.

Member of the Community Growers of Montgomery County, Beekeepers of Montgomery County, Friends of Sugar Creek and Crawfordsville District Public Library Resource Department will be in attendance with information about their organizations.

The Fat Bottom Donuts food truck will be available with items for purchase.
