MONTGOMERY COUNTY — The Indiana Department of Transportation announces State Road 234 is closing on or after Sept. 15 between C.R. Road 875W and C.R. 1000W for culvert work. It’s expected to reopen after mid-November, weather permitting.
The official detour follows S.R. 341 to S.R. 32 to S.R. 47 and back.
This project was awarded to Crackers Demo. L.L.C. for over $1.8 million. It also involves culvert work on U.S. 41 in Parke County, U.S. 136 in Montgomery County and S.R. 71 in Vermillion County. The entire contract is expected to be completed by May 2023.
