State of City/County addresses set

Posted

A new year has arrived in Crawfordsville and Montgomery County. While COVID-19 and the national election took center stage, several notable local happenings took place during 2020 and several appear to be on the horizon during 2021.

To hear all about these “happenings” be sure to mark you calendars for Jan. 26. That’s the date for this year’s State of the City/County Addresses hosted by the League of Women Voters of Montgomery County, the International Federation of Business and Professional Women and presented by radio station WCDQ 106.3 FM.

Due to continuing COVID-19 issues, this year’s event will not be before a live audience but will instead be broadcast on WCDQ 106.3 FM. Mayor Todd Barton will present for the city of Crawfordsville and newly-appointed county administrator, Tom Klein, will present for Montgomery County. The broadcast begins at 7 p.m. Jan. 26.

“This is an excellent time to hear first hand, and in more detail, about city and county activities that directly impact us locally,” said S. David Long, event coordinator. “I look forward to the time when we can again present this before an in person audience.”
