Larry Stevens will celebrate his 50th anniversary with Lakeside Book Company on Sept. 18.
Stevens began his long standing career at Lakeside Book Company on Sept. 18, 1972. He worked on Line 6 for 11 years and transferred to CSW working there for 11 years. He then went into CFP for a short time then ventured into CSE where he worked until his retirement in 2015. Larry came back to Lakeside Book Company in 2020 as a temporary employee and now is a full-time hoist operator.
He enjoys spending time with his wife, Barbara Thomas, and his children and step-children, Brad (Molly) Stevens, Rusty (Erin) Stevens, Teresa (Tony) Neal, Rita (Quentin) McGill, Veronica (Lee) Skiles, Robert (Sasha) Preuss, Matthew (QuiAra) Thomas and Daiel Thomas. Together he and Barbara have 19 grandchildren. He also has four-legged kiddos, Gizmo, Lizzy, Lady, Twilight, Houdini and Billy Bob. In his spare time, Stevens likes to gaze at Corvettes and collect Ruby Red Glassware.
