Teresa Kay Stonecipher, 61, of Hillsboro passed away unexpectedly at her home at 4:32 p.m. Friday, Nov. 19, 2021.

Teresa was born Oct. 6, 1960, at Danville, Illinois, the daughter of Alice E. (Irwin) Stonecipher of Hillsboro and the late James Gordon Stonecipher. Teresa was a life resident of Hillsboro, graduating from Fountain Central High School in 1979.

Teresa worked at Banjo in Crawfordsville for 23 years and had recently took early retirement.

Teresa was an avid NASCAR fan with Dale Earnhardt Jr. as her favorite driver. She enjoyed shopping and she especially doted over her son, Joshua.

You could usually find her hanging out at the Chatterbox in town.

Teresa leaves behind her son, Joshua of Hillsboro; her mother, Alice Stonecipher of Hillsboro; two sisters, Vickie Austin, Mellott, and Sharon Stonecipher, Hillsboro; five nephews and two nieces; an extended nephew, Brice Grimes. 

She was preceded in death by her father, Gordon Stonecipher, and her twin sister, Lisa Ratcliff.

Friends may call at Maus Funeral Home, Hillsboro, on Monday, Dec. 6 from 11 a.m. until the service time at 1 p.m., with Pastor Mike McCollum officiating. Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Hillsboro.

Memorial contributions may be made in Teresa’s memory to the Joshua Stonecipher Trust Fund at the Fountain Trust Bank in Mellott.
