Teresa L. (Busenbark) Pickett-Cotten, 73, of Lafayette went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at IU University Hospital, Indianapolis.
She was born June 30, 1949, at Crawfordsville, to the late Kenneth and Dorothy (Miller) Busenbark.
Teresa graduated from Crawfordsville High School in 1968. She married John Pickett on Nov. 27, 1971. He preceded her in death on June 16, 1999. She then married, Martin Cotten on April 29, 2007. He preceded her in death on Sept. 11, 2009.
Throughout the years she worked at Walmart Optical Lab, Subway and was clerk/treasurer at Alamo. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. She enjoyed music, crocheting, reading, had a large collection of mystery novels, loved traveling and attending church.
She is survived by three sons, Kenneth Dale (wife Lauren) Pickett of Pennsylvania, Jonathan Shayne Pickett of Mississippi and Jason Matthew Pickett of Crawfordsville; six grandchildren, Ashton, Ryan, Devin, Sabrina, Sean and Conor; two great-grandchildren; half-sister Judy (husband Ray) Estep; and three step-sisters, Nancy Stephens, Jerry Priebe, and Judy (husband Jim) Jordan.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, John Pickett and Martin Cotton; twin brother Garrett Busenbark; half-brother Joe Fry; half-sister Sharon Verhey; and three step-brothers, Ernie Priebe, Larry Priebe and Billy Joe Priebe.
Visitation will be at Sanders Priebe Funeral Care, 315 S. Washington St., Crawfordsville, on Saturday, June 3 from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m., with Pastor Randall Glenn officiating. The service will be live-streamed and recorded which can be viewed on her obituary page. Burial will follow at Alamo Cemetery.
