Theron Max Miller II, 74 a beloved son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend passed away peacefully at home on Nov. 27, 2024.
He was born Nov. 12, 1950, to Theron Max Miller and Delores Dean Miller, who preceded him in passing, along with an infant sister Kimberly Sue Miller.
Max was a 1969 Crawfordsville High School graduate. He enlisted in the US Navy in June 1969 where he proudly served his country for 20 years before retiring as a Chief Petty Officer and being honorably discharged. We thank you for your service. After, the Navy Max worked for General Dynamic Electric Boat and retired from there after 32 years of service.
He was known for his sense of humor, his love for his family, country, hunting, and old no7, and he enjoyed watching the sun rise and set over the ocean. Max was a member of the VFW and American Legion.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lillian; daughter Teresa M. Dowell (Don); son Daniel Miller; his wonderful step-children, Patrick Miller (Allison), Owen Miller (Twila) and Shannon (Erik); sisters, Joyce Mercer (Paul), Jill Shubert (Mike), Susie Harbison (Steve) and Nancy Gibson (Cody); grandchildren, Marcus Dowell, Makayla Houser (Josh), Patrick, Kieran, Caroline, Sean, Cadel, Kieran, Austin (Edith), Alexander, Logan and Danika; great-grandchildren, Brennen, Kal’El, Keziah, Kaliope, Katara; and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be announced later. Anyone wishing to do so may make donations to veterans in need in Max’s honor.
