Thomas Blaine “Tom” Richardson, 64, of Thorntown passed away Thursday, Feb. 24, 2022, at St. Vincent New Hope Hospice, Indianapolis. He was born Feb. 3, 1958, at Bloomington, a son of Nancy J. (Neal) Richardson and the late Donald L. Richardson.
He was a 1976 graduate of Bloomington North High School. Tom married Teresa D. (Rainey) Richardson on Dec. 31, 1976, at Owensburg. She passed away May 25, 2016.
Tom served 23 dedicated years in the Indiana National Guard. After retirement, he worked for Banjo Corporation in Crawfordsville from 1999 to 2021 in the shipping/receiving department.
He was a devoted son, husband, father, grandfather and brother, as well as a great friend to many. He enjoyed attending Western Boone sporting events and being with his grandchildren. Tom was always there for his family and willing to lend a helping hand whenever needed.
Survivors include: mother Nancy Richardson of Bloomington; sons, Jason K. Richardson of Lebanon and Jacob B. (Ashley) Richardson of Lizton; grandchildren, Haley Richardson, Abigayle Richardson, Bryce Richardson and Kadence Richardson; brothers, Matt Richardson and Morris Richardson, both of Bloomington; sisters, Kaye Cross and Diane Richardson, both of Bloomington; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services with military rites will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 2 at Myers Mortuary, 1502 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon. Visitation is planned at noon until the time of service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will follow services at Maple Lawn Cemetery in Thorntown.
