Three women who have served many meals to Turkey Run Elementary and Parke Heritage Middle School students are hanging up their aprons and retiring from the food services department. Chris Crum, Sheila Lindley and Bertie Eppert as well as art teacher Connie McClure were recognized at a special reception before the school board meeting held June 16.
Chris Crum served as the TR campus site manager and food services worker for 31 years. Also working in the TR cafeteria, Sheila Lindley had 26 years and Bertie Eppert completed 13 years of service.
Connie McClure was honored for her 29 years of teaching art to Rockville Elementary and Parke Heritage Middle School students.
