Travis Dale Stonebraker, 50, of Pittsboro passed away May 31, 2024, after a brief illness.
Travis was born Sept. 14, 1973, to Kenneth Dale and Linda Bowman Stonebraker and married Stacy Byers on May 27, 2000. He was a resident of Pittsboro with his beloved wife and children, Lucas Tyler, Cali Noel and Lanie McKenna. He graduated from Crawfordsville High School in 1993. He moved to Pittsboro in 2005 and was a long time employee of SDI Steel Dynamics for the last 18 years, most recently holding the position of Melt Cast Shop Supervisor. Travis was a member of Connection Pointe Church in Brownsburg.
Travis is preceded in death by father Kenneth Dale Stonebraker; grandparents; and brother-in-law Kaleb Courtney Wharff.
He is survived by wife Stacy Byers; son Lucas Tyler Stonebraker; daughters, Cali Noel and Lanie McKenna Stonebraker; mother Linda Bowman; mother- and father-in-law, Phoebe and John Byers of Brownsburg; brothers-in-law, Matt (Tonja) Wharff of Fincastle, Chris (Kesha) Wharff of Whitestown, Aaron Wharff of Lafayette and John (Leanne) Byers of Erie, Pennsylvania; sisters-in-law, Megan Millikan of Noblesville, Jodi Byers Mireles of Dallas, Texas, Kim (Matt) O’Keefe of Cape Coral, Florida and Renee Wurtzbacher of Lafayette; cousins, Angie Bowman, Jeff Bowman and Derrick (Melissa) Groumoutis, all of Crawfordsville; as well as many nieces and nephews who he adored.
Friends and family will gather 4-7 p.m., Friday, June 7 in the Eric MD Bell Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 8 in the funeral home, with Pastor Jim Littlejohn of Connection Pointe Church officiating. Travis will be laid to rest in the Lizton K of P Cemetery following the funeral service.
Travis’s family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Youth Missions at Connection Pointe Christian Church of Brownsburg.
