Trixie A. Carter, 60, of rural Veedersburg passed away Sunday evening, Jan. 19, 2020, at her residence.
Trixie was born May 22, 1959, at Crawfordsville, the daughter of Billy M. and Joyce D. (Barton) Birge.
She is preceded in death by her father; grandson Alexander Birge; and her pet dog, Shy.
Surviving family include: mother Joyce Birge, Veedersburg; son Shane (Jessica) Birge, Veedersburg; brother William (Cheryl) Birge, Kingman; and three grandchildren, Pamela Ann Birge, Jasmine Alane Birge and William Michael Birge.
Trixie graduated from Fountain Central High School in 1977. She had been employed at RR Donnelley in Crawfordsville. She enjoyed raising and riding quarter horses, and through the years she had helped Bobby Shoap and Medley Farms with their horses. She was also involved with the Horse and Pony Club at Fountain County 4-H Fair.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24 at Dickerson Funeral Home, Veedersburg, with Pastor Gary Johnson officiating. Visitation will begin at noon Friday at the funeral home and continue until the time of service. Burial will be at Kingman Fraternal Cemetery.
