Remaning to cherish her memory are brother Chauncey (Momi) Kalua of Waimanalo, Hawaii; sisters, Thelma Seeto-Mook of Hayward, California; Faith (Ed) Ka-iama of Waimanalo, Hawaii; sister-in-law Sally Patton Kalua of Waveland; and the love of her life, Michael Lewellen of rural Crawfordsville. She also leaves behind numerous beloved nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Valerie’s life will be held at a later date in her hometown of Waimanalo, Oahu, Hawaii.
