Virginia Lee Anderson, 93, of Vero Beach, Florida, passed away Monday, March 1, 2021.
She was born Nov. 22, 1927, at Crawfordsville. Virginia was the daughter of the late Perry Wilbur and Lula Belle Spear. She was a graduate of Crawfordsville, High School.
She worked for over 20 years at Kostanzer Drug Store, a few years at Nye Booe Drug Store and several years as the Kitchen Manager at Park-A-Tot Nazarene Day Care.
She loved reading the Bible, attending church and Christian music. She was a member of the Nazarene Church and loved the people and attending there. She also attended Vero Christian Church with her daughter, son-in-law and daughter-in-law. She loved the people there and attending there as well.
She is survived by her daughter, Sue Smith; sons-in-law, Terry Smith and Lamar Knepp; daughter-in-law Becky Anderson; grandsons, Risty Smith (Jodi), Perry Smith (Shannon), Riley Anderson and Jeff Knepp (Nancy); great-granddaughters, Abby Smith and Abby Knepp; and great-grandson Andrew Knepp.
Virginia is preceded in death by husband Everett Anderson; daughter Marsha Knepp; son Tom Anderson; grandson Greg Birdsong; brothers, Paul (Pauline) and James (Hazel) Spear; and several nieces and nephews.
Virginia loved time with family and friends and they cherished time with her. She was a bright spot wherever she went and will be greatly missed.
She will have a service at 10 a.m. March 13 in Avon at Conkle Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service in Crawfordsville at Oak Hill Cemetery at approximately noon. We all love you, Mom, and the Christian person you are.
