The North Montgomery volleyball team will lean on its seniors for the upcoming season.
“We have six returning seniors this year that have stepped up as leaders to our two underclassmen that have joined the varsity,” North Montgomery coach Whitney Hutson said.
Those seniors include Madi Welch, Carlie DeSmet, Ashlynn Anderson, Trinity Schroeder, Mallory Morehouse, and Mackenzie Shepherd.
Anderson led the Chargers with 132 kills last season, while Schroeder added 73. Welch led the team with 304 assists and 102 digs.
Hutson says she is excited about the growing interest in the program after the Chargers posted a 7-17 record last season.
“We are going to continue to focus on improving our competitive gym environment,” she said. “I am excited about the number of players in our program that continues to increase. We have added a large Freshmen class in our program.”
North Montgomery welcomes the addition of underclassmen in freshman Piper Ramey and sophomore Annabel Anderson.
