Fitzgerald repeats as NCAC Athlete of Week

Wabash College senior Quinn Fitzgerald earned North Coast Athletic Conference Men’s Lacrosse Athlete of the Week honors for the second time this season after his performance Saturday in a win over Muskingum University.

Fitzgerald scored seven goals and recorded two assists to account for nine individual points in the Little Giants’ 12-6 win over Muskingum University Saturday afternoon in Cincinnati, Ohio. The senior attackman scored his first goal with 6:41 remaining in the first period to put Wabash up for good in the match after providing an assist on the Little Giants’ first goal to even the score at 1-1. He added a second goal in the first period to provide a 5-1 Wabash lead, then tallied two more in the second for a 7-3 halftime advantage.

Fitzgerald scored back-to-back goals in the third period to extend the Little Giants’ lead to 9-4 before adding a final goal in the first minute of the fourth period.

Fitzgerald received his first NCAC Men’s Lacrosse Athlete of the Week honor for the 2025 season on Feb. 11.

Thang repeats as MCVL Player of the Week

Wabash College sophomore outside hitter Bawibawi Thang earned his second Midwest Collegiate Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week Award of the season. Thang earned this week’s award for his efforts in three matches for the Little Giants over the weekend.

Thang recorded 41 kills in three matches to help Wabash finish 2-1 for the weekend. He led the Little Giants with 19 kills in 23 attack opportunities for a .783 attack percentage to set a new Wabash record for kill percentage in Friday’s 3-0 win at Trinity Christian College. Saturday, he produced 12 kills and a .474 attack percentage in a 3-0 victory over St. Norbert. Thang recorded ten kills for Wabash in the match against 14th-ranked Aurora. The Little Giants lost that contest 3-0 to the Spartans.

Thang averaged 4.56 kills over nine sets with a .449 kill percentage.
