Neubauer earns All-America honors
ROCHESTER, New York — Wabash College senior Will Neubauer captured eighth place in the finals of the men’s 800-meter run on Saturday at the 2025 NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships held at the Galisano Training Center to capture First Team All-America honors.
Neubauer posted a time of 1:53.48 In his final collegiate indoor track and field race to earn All-America honors for the first time in his career. He joins teammate Brayden Curnutt, who earned Second Team All-America honors on Friday with a 15th-place finish in the 5,000-meter run.
Neubauer is the first Wabash runner to post a top-eight finish at the indoor track and field national championship meet since 2023.

Baczek, Day earn All-America honors
PROVIDENCE, Rhode Island — Wabash College senior Chase Baczek closed out his wrestling career with a third-place finish in the 197-pound weight class on Saturday at the 2025 NCAA Division III National Championship Tournament held at the Amica Mutual Pavillion. Wabash junior James Day placed fourth at 133 pounds.
Baczek faced undefeated and top-seeded Massomea Endene from Wartburg in one of the championship semifinal bouts at 197 pounds to start Saturday’s competition. A 15-0 tech fall loss sent Baczek, the fifth seed, to the consolation bracket, where he scored a 12-0 major decision over seventh-seeded Dylan Harr from Johnson and Wales. Baczek faced number four seed Joseph Petrella from Baldwin Wallace in the third-place match. The Wabash senior scored a 5-0 victory in his final collegiate bout to capture third place and secure All-America honors for the third time in his career. He won 111 matches over his four-year career to rank tenth all-time on the Wabash all-time wins list.
Day secured his second consecutive All-America award with his fourth-place finish at the 2025 event. Day opened Saturday’s competition with a pin in the final 38 seconds of his consolation bracket match against Connor Kidd from Luther College. Day, the eighth seed in the 133-pound bracket, paired off against third-seeded Garrett Totten from The College of New Jersey, securing a 5-0 victory to advance to the third-place match against fifth-seeded Jaden Hinton from Baldwin Wallace. Hinton won their finals match by a 17-1 tech fall, with Day finishing in fourth place overall.
Wabash sits in 12th place out of 75 teams competing at the tournament entering Saturday evening’s championship bouts.
