The Wabash College tennis team earned a pair of home victories Saturday with a 6-1 win over Hanover in the morning session, followed by a 6-1 final in the evening against Otterbein.
Wabash (3-1) swept the three doubles matches against Hanover (3-2). Augusto Ghidini and Cole Shifferly combined for a 6-2 win in the first flight. Rafael Rin and Murilo Guarniari won 6-0 at number two doubles. Sam Dziadosz and Ethan Koeneman earned a 6-3 win at number three doubles.
Shifferly won his number one singles match 6-0, 6-1 against Hanover. Rin picked up a perfect 6-0, 6-0 win at number two singles. Guarniari added a 6-0, 6-4 win in the fourth singles flight. Maksymilian Domanski scored a 6-1, 6-2 win at number five singles. Jett Brownlee closed the match with a 6-1, 6-0 win at sixth singles.
The Little Giants scored another sweep of doubles in the second match against Otterbein (1-3). Ghidini and Shifferly won 6-4 at number one doubles. Rin and Guarniari earned a 6-4 win in the second doubles flight. Tharakesh Ashokar and Koenman combined for a 6-3 win at number three doubles.
Rin picked up a 6-3, 7-5 victory at number two singles for Wabash. Guarniari earned a 6-3, 6-0 win at number three singles. Domanski won in three sets at number four singles in a 4-6, 6-1, 10-3 decision. Vittorio Bono scored a 6-1, 6-2 win in the fifth singles flight. Dziadosz added a 6-0, 6-0 win at number six singles.
Wabash returns to action on Wednesday with a 4 p.m. home match against Rollins College.
