WAVELAND --— A Waveland man was arrested Friday night on multiple charges, including possession of stolen property.
Shawn Fairfield, 32, is facing charges of possession of methamphetamine over 5 grams but less than 10 grams, possession of paraphernalia, maintaining a common nuisance, possession of stolen property and unauthorized entry of a motor vehicle.
At approximately 6 p.m. Friday, deputies with the Parke County Sheriff’s Office received information regarding a stolen vehicle possibly located in Parke County. Deputies found a 2006 Econoline at an address near Waveland at approximately 9 p.m. Deputies made contact with Fairfield, who was in possession of the vehicle, and arrested him on a charge of possession of stolen property.
A warrant was issued to search the residence and surrounding buildings. During that search, deputies located approximately 7 grams of suspected methamphetamine, multiple items of paraphernalia, a stolen gun, another stolen vehicle cab and a piece of an exhaust that connects to a catalytic convertor.
Fairfield was jailed in Parke County. Assisting agencies included Marshall Police Department and the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
