Posted

The Waynetown Aquatic Center will open for the summer at noon May 30. The hours will be from noon to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday and noon to 6 p.m. Friday through Sunday.

Splash pad hours will be from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.

Manager Aaron Clawson and the pool staff have undergone training for helping prevent the spread of COVID-19. Extra precautions are being made in accordance to state guidelines and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in regards to the coronavirus.

Pool staff and utility employees will disinfect the facility according to state guidelines

Due to COVID-19 there will be no pool furniture available for patrons. However, patrons are encouraged to bring their own chairs.

Social distancing protocol will be expected to be followed by patrons when on the pool deck. We also ask patrons to bring their own hand sanitizer.

We recommend all bathers wear masks when on the pool deck. No masks will be allowed in the water or in the splash pad.

Upon entry, the desk attendant will ask for names of swimmers and phone numbers to help us keep track of who swam that day.

Due to state guidelines, no more than 115 swimmers and staff are allowed inside the facility at any time. Present state guidelines state the pool can go to full capacity July 4.

Admission is $3 for those 18 years old and older. For patrons ages 5-14 the price of admission is $2 and $1 for children ages 4 and under.

The facility can be rented for private parties now. Call the town hall at 765-234-2154 to reserve a date and time. The cost to rent the aquatic center is $75 per hour.

There will be no season passes sold this year.
