WAYNETOWN — German food and live music will highlight Saturday’s 2nd Annual Waynetown Oktoberfest at the Rev. Guy Tremaine Park. The festival is scheduled from noon to 8 p.m.

Live music commences on the festival stage at noon with Josie Beach and Family. Beach will play a variety of songs on her accordion with acoustic background accompaniment. Local band Desperate Measures will play 4-8 p.m.

This year’s menu consists of brats, sauerkraut and onions and peppers, hot dogs, soft pretzels with cheese and homemade apple streusel. A beer garden with a full bar will be provided by Wingate Bar and Grill.

There also will be homemade goulash cooked over an open fire and pumpkin rolls provided by Robin’s Homestyle Catering. Warm apple cider squeezed on the festival grounds will be available for purchase.

Two Heritage Rough Rider pistols will be raffled off. Tickets are one for $5 or five for $20. The drawing will be at 8 p.m. and you are not needed to be present to win. All proceeds will go toward the town’s Freedom Festival.

Purple Sound will provide DJ music.

Attendees need to wear a mask and observe social distancing per CDC guidelines. This event is part of the Waynetown Festival Series which features five events. The Spring Street Fair was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the annual Freedom Festival and Fish Fry were held at the park. The last event will be the Dec. 5 Christmas in the Park Lighting Ceremony.
