William Edwin Jellison, 83, of Crawfordsville went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Nov. 5, 2022.

Bill was born May 23, 1939, at Indianapolis, to parents Eddie and Alice (Madden) Jellison.

Bill was a member of the Apostolic Bible Church in Brownsburg, where he served as an elder. He retired from Detroit Diesel Allison in Indianapolis after 31 years of loyal employment. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Roachdale and the Scottish Rite of Indianapolis. His favorite hobby was working on cars as his dad owned a mechanic shop in Bainbridge for many years. He also loved his many furry friends over the years especially his best buddy Simon.

Bill’s faith and family were the most important things to him. He married the love of his life, Delores, on Jan. 23, 1976, and they have been loving each other ever since.

Bill is survived by sons, Brad (Karen) of Austin, Texas, and Jason (Allison) of Palatine, Illinois; and step-daughter Mitzi Cloncs of Hillsboro. Bill was especially proud of his grandchildren, Scott, Stephen, Gretchen, Emma, Mallory, Tiffany, Lindsey and Ashley, along with his 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. He also is survived by his sisters, Alberta Johnson, Lois (Jim) Harlan and Connie Breedlove and partner John.

William is preceded in death by his parents; sister Vera Walton; brother-in-law Dale Breedlove; step-daughter Sandra Jo Cloncs Cashmore; and infant grandson William Michael Jellison.

Bill’s final resting place will be in Oak Hill South Cemetery, with Pastor Jimmy D. Ogle and Sister Sharp officiating the private service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Montgomery County Animal Welfare League.

Arrangements are entrusted to Sanders Priebe Funeral Care.
