Women’s breakfast series set to begin

The 2020 Women’s Lenten Breakfast Series will begin Feb. 29 and continue each Saturday through April 4 at various church locations. Breakfast is served weekly at 8 a.m. and the program is 8:30-9:45 a.m. Child care will be provided. Love offerings accepted.

This year’s theme and song is “God of Grace and God of Glory,” and the verse is “Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ,” 1 Corinthians 1:3.

The purpose of the breakfast series is to bring women together in a serious spiritual setting, to provide a time for examining our hearts through repentance and remembrance of Christ’s death and resurrection.

The schedule is as follows:

• Feb. 29 at New Ross Christian Church, 212 N. Main St., New Ross; speaker is the Rev. Mike Whitacre; with special music provided by Meire Palmer.

• March 7 at Waynetown Christian Church, 101 W. Walnut St., Waynetown; speaker is Dr. John VanNuys; with special music provided by Dinah Gabel.

• March 14 at Whitesville Christian Church, 3603 S. Ladoga Road; speaker is Marvin Swick; with special music provided by Jason Surber.

• March 21 at Crossroads of Nazarene, 117 E. State Road 234 at U.S. 231; speaker is the Rev. Nate Chambers; with special music provided by Mark Money.

• March 28 at Christ’s United Methodist Church, 909 E. Main St.; speaker is the Rev. Dirk Caldwell; with special music provided by Pam Bryan.

• April 4 at Parkersburg Christian Church, 83 W. C.R. 1150S; speaker is Cody Hargis; with special music provided by Gary Ketchum.
