Work to begin on I-74 west of U.S. 231


CLINTON, MONTGOMERY AND TIPPECANOE COUNTIES, Ind. — The Indiana Department of Transportation announces work begins next week on I-74 approximately two miles west of U.S. 231 on the bridge over Branch Creek. Traffic will be restricted to one 11’ lane in each direction as crews overlay the decks on both bridges. Work is scheduled through the end of October of this year.

This project also includes bridge deck work in Clinton County on U.S. 421 over McClamrock Ditch located one mile south of S.R. 38 and on two State Road 225 Bridges in Tippecanoe County over Burnett Creek located just over one mile south of S.R. 43 and the other nearly two miles south of S.R. 43.

Milestone Contractors L.P. was awarded the $2.4 million contract. This work is scheduled to be completed in on all bridges in October of next year.
