Chargers blanked by Warriors

North Montgomery hosted Sagamore Conference foe Danville on Tuesday fell 14-0 in five innings.

Lilly Dockins and and Skyley Cloncs tallied the lone hits for the Chargers as the Warriors pounded 15 hits.

The Chargers fall to 1-5 (0-3 SAC) on the season and they will travel to Danville tomorrow to complete the series with the Warriors.

Bruins blast past Athenians

The Athenians traveled to Lizton on Tuesday night for a Sagmore Conference matchup with the high-powered Bruins and fell by a final score of 15-1.

CHS falls to 0-8 (0-3 SAC) and will host the Bruins tomorrow night.

Patriors best Mustangs

Fountain Central took on WRC foe Seeger on Tuesday and fell 11-0 in five innings.

The Mustangs could only muster just one hit by sophomore Thaylynn Todd.

FC falls to 1-8 on the season and will host the Patriots tomorrow night.

Athenians remain perfect in SAC

The No. 4 ranked Crawfordsville Athenians were able to stay undefeated in the Sagamore Conference as they defeated Tri-West 11-1 in five innings on Tuesday night.

The Athenians led 5-1 going into the sixth but the offense scored six runs in the sixth to take an 11-1 lead and CHS got the final three outs in the bottom of the inning to seal the win. 

Crawfordsville improves to 9-1 (3-0 SAC) on the season and will welcome the Bruins to John Froedge Field tomorrow night.

The game can be heard on WIMC 103.9.

Mounties drop SAC contest to Hotdogs

The tough Sagamore Conference did no favors for Southmont on Tuesday as the Mounties fell to Frankfort by a final score of 12-1.

The Mounties could muster just five hits wiht most of the offense coming late in the game when the damage had already beeen done.

“We told the guys that it’s not going to get much easier,” Southmont coach Brad Wininger noted of the conference schedule. “Our pitching let us down tonight and they started just trying to overcome things by just throwing harder.”

Southmont falls to 1-6 (0-3 SAC) on the season and will make the trip to Frankfort tomorro to conclude the two game series.

Mustangs no hit by Patriots in five innings

Fountain Central just couldn’t find any rhythm on offense in Tuesday’s 12-0 loss to Seeger as they were no hit by the Patriots.

FC surrendured three runs in both the first and second innings and added five more in the fourth.

The Mustangs fall to 2-7 on the season and will welcome the Patriots to Veedersburg tomorrow evening.

Boys Golf

Mounties down Cougars and Stars on links

Southmont golf hosted Sagamore Conference foe Western Boone and North Putnam to the Crawfordsville Country Club Tuesday evening and came away with a victory over the Stars and Cougars.

The Mounties shot a 170 with the Stars coming in second place with a 175 while the Cougars carded a 217.

Nolan Allen was the medalist of the three-team meet and led the Mounties with a 39. Luke Tesmer carded a 42 with Harrison Haddock adding a 44 and Carson McKinney a 45. Ty Elles shot a 47 and Tanner Walls a 54.

Southmont will return to the course on Saturday when they host the annual Mountie Invite with all three Montgomery County schools in action at the Crawfordsville Country Club.
