Athens Arts is planning a wonderful and relaxing clsass to bring out the artist in you.
On Dec. 14, the local gallery will offer pin weaving, which is a form of weaving that is done on a small-scale. Participants will use a small loom, straight pins and scrapes of yarn to weave a small, interesting project.
The loom is portable and can be easily stored in a tote bag along with a collection of yarn, giving the artist the opportunity to complete a project anywhere.
The instructor will provide all supplies needed for participants to create their own pin weaving panel to take home.
Choose either an afternoon session (1-3 p.m.) or an evening session (6-8 p.m) on Dec. 14. Class is open to anyone 12 years and older. Cost is $35. Classes meet at Athens Arts, 216 E. Main St.
