Auditions announced for Annie Jr. at the Vanity

Sugar Creek Players is excited to announce auditions for Annie Jr., a captivating musical for children kindergarten through 12th grade. Auditions are scheduled for 6-8 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 4-5 at The Vanity Theater.

Annie tells the heartwarming story of a little orphan, Annie, and her journey from Miss Hannigan’s orphanage to the opulent life with billionaire Oliver Warbucks. Join the adventure with characters like Miss Hannigan, Rooster, Lily St. Regis, the wicked Miss Hannigan and Annie herself.

Performers should arrive at 6 p.m. for a dance audition and prepare a one-minute Broadway or Disney song. This can be acapella or sung with a karaoke track. All ages are encouraged to audition — as there are parts for many different age ranges.

Callbacks will take place 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 7.

Annie Jr. will be directed by Steve Frees and under the musical direction of Jennie Swick, with production by the Vellners. Choreography will be done by Glenda Frees, with set design by Brian Swick and Keith Strain, and a tech team led by Mike Melvin.
