Beef House Dinner Theatre announces summer lineup

Posted

COVINGTON — The Beef House Dinner Theatre has a full schedule of entertainment coming your way in July this summer.

They kick things off on June 30 with the return of their spring hit show, Teen Angels. Back by popular demand, Teen Angels is a tribute to the teen idols and the teen queens of the 1950s and 1960s. Before Elvis started shaking his hips, the clean-cut look and traditional pop sound ruled popular music.

Featuring music made famous by Fabian, Bobby Rydell, Lesley Gore, Paul Anka, Connie Francis, Bobby Darin, Ricky Nelson, Bobby Vee, Brenda Lee and many more, this jukebox celebration will take you back to a simpler time when a teenage romance played out at the soda shop and the sock hop.

Noah Acree and Kayla Dillman reprise their roles at an evening show on June 30 and matinees on July 1 and 2.

Next up Logan Kirby leads the cast of Jimmy Buffett’s Escape to Margaritaville. Parrotheads rejoice. Kick off your flip flops, throw on your tropical shirts and set your clock to island time in this tropical paradise where love and laughter are the keys to “growing older but not up.” You’re going to Margaritaville.

Leading our visit is Tully, a part-time bartender, part-time singer and full-time charmer who thinks he’s got life all figured out — until a beautiful tourist steals his heart and makes him question everything. Escape to Margaritaville is a heartwarming musical featuring your most-loved Jimmy Buffett classics, including “It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere,” “Fins,” “Volcano,” “Cheeseburger in Paradise,” and many more.

Evening shows on July 7 and July 14 will be “Dress Like a Pirate Night” and the bar will be flowing with tropical drink specials. Matinee shows play on July 8, 9, 12, 13, 15 & 16.

They wrap up July with Honky Tonk Angels 3. Ted Swindley, the author of Always, Patsy Cline has revised the script for the third and final installment of his Honky Tonk Angels Trilogy and the Beef House Dinner Theatre will be the first to produce it this summer.

Suellen and Angela are “on the road again” to honor the passing of their former singing partner Darleen, after a tragic disco ball accident, and they are bringing their husbands (Bubba and Cornell Crawford) along to help them entertain. Kena Clark and Kayla Dillman reprise their roles from the original Honky Tonk Angels (our 2019 hit) and Logan Kirby joins the cast as Little Jimmy Timmy, a performance you will have to see to believe.

Enjoy a hilarious story and country hits including “Jolene,” “Islands in the Stream,” “Elvira,” “You Ain’t Woman Enough to Take My Man,” “Rhinestone Cowboy,” “The Devil Went Down to Georgia” and many more. Honky Tonk Angels 3 takes to the stage with evening shows on July 21 and July 28 and matinee shows on July 22, 23, 26, 27, 29 and 30.

All shows are $63 each per person including buffet meal, show, salad, famous Beef House yeast rolls, soft drink, dessert, tax and fees. Gratuity is not included.

For evening shows, doors open at 6 p.m. with an 8 p.m. show. For matinees, doors open at 12:30 p.m. with a 2 p.m. show. All times are eastern.
