Betty Showalter, a caring daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, left this world suddenly on Friday, Feb. 12, 2021.

Betty spent most of her time living in Richmond, Indiana, and relocated to Crawfordsville in 2008.

She has three children and is preceded in death by two sons, Rick (Laura) Showalter and Randy (Marsha) Showalter. She also has a daughter, Micky (Dave) Creech.

Betty loved spending time in the kitchen, creating delicious meals for her family and friends and was an amazing cook. Her favorite hobby was playing golf, but she also enjoyed bowling, and could be quite competitive. She enjoyed combining two of her favorite things by supplying brownies to the golfers after many local golf scrambles. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Las Vegas for bowling tournaments, seeing the sights and enjoying the Vegas shows.

She held memberships with the Eagles Aerie 1005 and the American Legion Post 72, both located in Crawfordsville. She was also a member of the Crawfordsville Wabash Avenue Presbyterian Church.

She will be greatly missed by family and friends. A celebration of life will be planned for a later date.
