The Crawfordsville Board of Public Works and Safety approved several items Wednesday, including an agreement with Thieneman Construction for the city’s wastewater department digester lid project, moving the project one step closer to completion.
Now that financing has been secured and a contract agreed upon, the board approved an agreement between the city and Thieneman Construction for the city’s wastewater department’s digester lid project. A contract in the amount of $3,683,000 with the construction company was confirmed earlier this summer.
The board also approved an agreement between the city and Burke Engineering for storm water consulting services for the remainder of the year, not to exceed $15,000.
Multiple work order requests for mowing were approved including properties at 1606 Plum St., owned by JDJ Homes LLC; 704 Tuttle Ave., owned by Breanna Deaver; and 1080 Corey Blvd., owned by Mike Vickers.
In other business, the board:
• Approved a request from Kelly Price to close Pike Street at Pike Place on Sept. 16 from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. for the kickoff to the Day of Service event.
• Approved a request from the Boys and Girls Club of Montgomery County to approval the annual 5K route for the club on Sept. 12 from 8 to 10 a.m. The race starts and finishes at the Wabash Avenue First Presbyterian Church at 307 S. Washington St.
