Board OKs drainage project for church

The Crawfordsville Board of Public Works and Safety approved several items Wednesday, including an upcoming event, a stormwater drainage project and several work orders from the city’s code enforcement officer.

The board approved variance requests from Roger Azar of DES Engineering for a stormwater drainage project at Rock Point Church. The project will change the existing dry pond into a wet pond.

The board also approved a request to close the road at 116 S. Walnut St. for the Pentecostals of Crawfordsville’s annual 9/11 Memorial from 4:30 to 7 p.m.

An agreement between the city and Etica Group was approved for a consultation and analysis of the south side of Crawfordsville for a potential future third fire station for the Crawfordsville Fire Department. The total cost for the consultation and analysis is $53,500.

Several work orders submitted by Code Enforcement Officer Barry Lewis were also approved, including trash pickup at 508 W. Market St., owned by the Janeen Casebolt Trust, and 300 W. North St., owned by HSD of Central Indiana. Mowing work orders were approved for 1002 Tuttle Ave., owned by 105 ENPOK LLC, and 301/303 W. North St., owned by Dan Malek.
