On Wednesday, the Board of Works & Public Safety approved street closures for the annual community Easter Egg Hunt, which is slated for April 6 on the grounds of the General Lew Wallace Study. The street closures will be from noon to 2 p.m. and will include East Pike Street from Vernon Court to Wallace and Wallace from Wabash Avenue to Main Street.
The board also approved a street closure request for Pike Street by Pike Place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 8 for an eclipse event that includes music and food vendors.
In other business, the board:
• Approved a memorandum of understanding with the county health department for services provided by Mobile Integrated Health. Additional funds in the amount of $80,701 were approved for the hiring of a QRT paramedic.
• Approved an agreement with Midwestern Engineers for design of a trail along State Road 47 to Crawfordsville High School as part of lift station project. Design costs are not to exceed $31,000, bid preparation is not exceed $10,000 and construction, engineering and inspection costs are not to exceed $15,000.
