Call for artwork focusing on water in its various forms for The Magic of Water in Montgomery County exhibit.

The Carnegie Museum of Montgomery County is currently seeking artwork highlighting the diverse landscape of Montgomery County featuring the ever changing ways water interacts with the environment.

The exhibit will display all forms of art celebrating water — from thunderstorms to swimming pools and streams to waterfalls! The museum welcomes entries of all types including print or digital photography and other digital arts, paintings, and three dimensional arts. Professional and amateur artists are welcome to submit work for consideration. Works will be returned to the artist at the conclusion of the exhibit.

Artists should send images of their art to Janna Bennett at jbennett.carnegie@cdpl.lib.in.us or call 765-362-4622 to make an appointment to show the work during a Zoom meeting or to make other arrangements to view potential art work. Submission deadline is July 15. A decision will be made by the curatorial team by Aug. 1 on selection of art to be included.

The exhibit will be on display from Aug. 26 to Oct. 21.

The Carnegie Museum is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday. Admission to the museum is free, and the building is wheelchair and stroller accessible.
