Charger Girls Wrestling kicks off season at New Pal Invite
North Montgomery girls wrestling kicked off their 2023-24 season on Saturday by competing at the New Palestine Invite. The Chargers had a strong showing and took home a fifth place finish out of 15 teams by scoring 109 total points.
Highlighting the day for the Chargers was Hailey Kunz who went a perfect 3-0 to take home first place. Chloe Douglas went 2-1 to place 3rd as did Paige Yarger. Ash Koons also earned a podium finish with a 2-2 day to place fourth.
The Charger girls will be back in action on Nov. 18 when they travel to Ben Davis for another Invitational.
Charger Girls hoops falls in season opener
North Montgomery girls basketball opened up their 2023-24 season on Saturday when the Lady Chargers traveled to take on a talented Parke Heritage team. North struggled against the Wolves and fell by a final score of 61-9.
The Chargers begin the season 0-1 and have their home opener on Tuesday night when they welcome Bethesda Christian. You can catch a live broadcast of that game on Thunder 103.9 beginning at 6:30 with Jared McMurry and Codey Emerson.
