The CHS class of 1976 recently celebrated its 50th high school reunion. The class graduated with 230 members on May 30, 1976. The class took pride in being the 100th graduating class of Crawfordsville High School and placed a memorial marker on the grounds of the original building to commemorate that accomplishment during their senior year. The marker was moved to the new school upon completion, where it remains today. Classmate Jim Deer hosted an informal gathering at his home on Friday evening that was enjoyed by all. More than 80 classmates, spouses, and friends then came together the next evening at the MontCo Event Center in downtown Crawfordsville where they enjoyed a catered meal and reminiscing about high school years and catching up with old friends. We have plans to stay in touch with local gatherings throughout the year and also celebrating our 55th reunion in another five years.
