On Monday, Montgomery County Commissioners accepted a bid from Milestone Contractors to replace County Bridge #80. The bridge is located on C.R. 300N west of C.R. 100W.
The accepted bid was in the amount of $563,778. Work is expected to begin during the summer. The bid was below the engineer’s estimate.
Commissioners approved a computer system and software agreement for five years for the recorder’s office. The contract is with a new vendor and the conversion to the new software is scheduled for September.
Commissioners accepted the 2027 Montgomery County Solid Waste Budget in the amount of $121,000. The budget includes recycling costs and a Tox Away Day.
County employees who have outdated county cell phones will be replaced after commissioners agreed to the proposal from AT&T. Outdated phones will be replaced for $.99 per phone. AT&T will also give the county credit for each phone traded in for the newer phones.
