County health department relocates

The Montgomery County Health Department has moved its offices to a new location west of downtown Crawfordsville. Beginning Monday, MCHD began operating at 308 W. Market St., Crawfordsville. They relocated from the Montgomery County Administration Building at 110 W. South Boulevard to the former Crawfordsville Family Medicine building behind Dr. Walker’s and Dr. Mishler’s dental offices, and Dollar General off West Market Street.

The Montgomery County Health Department offices will remain limited to public until further notice. Citizens may call the office at 765-364-6440 or visit www.montgomerycounty.in.gov/health for assistance or access to services.

The new MCHD offices also serves as a community testing site for COVID-19. Testing is open Mondays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at 308 W. Market St. Drive-through testing remains available at the former Horner’s Automotive dealership, located between CVS Pharmacy and the Crawfordsville Police Department, and at the corner of East Spring and North Green streets in Crawfordsville. The testing site is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, and 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Both testing sites will be closed on city, county and/or federal holidays. Registration is required.
